Monsanto becomes 50th member of EBIC

The board of the European Biostimulant Industry Council (EBIC) approved the membership of Monsanto International this week, raising EBIC’s membership to 50.

“Monsanto’s entry into biostimulants and their joining EBIC demonstrates once again that the old divisions between fertilization and plant protection are becoming obsolete. Today, researchers, farmers and technology suppliers need to focus on the biological systems that plants are part of,” said EBIC president Giuseppe Natale (Valagro). “Holistic solutions introduce complexity into agricultural production and policy, but they are the only way we can successful overcome the big challenges facing agriculture and food security.”
